When you first register with the practice, we may discuss changing the medication you take. At Buckland Surgery we prescribe from a list of medications agreed locally by GP surgeries and hospitals in South Devon. This is called the South Devon Joint Formulary.
This list is compiled based on current medical evidence, local guidelines and cost.
This enables Doctors to prescribe safely, with good knowledge and efficiently. It also enables pharmacies to make sure that they are able to dispense medications promptly. Any change in medication will be discussed with you.
